Alright you lot, we've got a date: join us for the very first meeting of the Prompt Poets Society this September 16th, 2025 from 6:30pm onwards at the BizDojo Ponsonby.

Let's gather to discuss and swap notes on AI-assisted coding. We aspire to a collegial atmosphere with a mix of prepared talks and open discussion.

Agenda:
6.30pm - Enjoy pizza from Totos and beverages of all kinds (thanks to GD1 and Paloma)
7.00pm - Intro, house keeping and a few words from our sponsor, GD1
7.05pm - Kick off with short talks

  • Rowan Oulton will explore the advent of literacy and how AI might be a bit like that,
  • Toby Cox is going to talk about "A Rapid AI Rewrite on Rails",
  • Jin Budelmann is doing a short talk on MCP

7.30pm - Short break
7.45pm - Main speaker

  • Ben Gracewood & Emad Said will talk about how they use vibe-coding tools on a legacy PHP codebase at Fergus

8.30pm - Wrap up
