PVD Geeks Returns with Family Fun in Innovation District Park

After a too-long hiatus, it's time that we return with another family-friendly version of Providence Geeks. We'll be featuring hands-on activities powered by NESmaker, the Rhode Island Computer Museum, and BlocksCAD.

Joe Granato, Director of the team behind NESmaker, has recently moved to the area and is looking to meet the Providence Geeks. At this month's Providence Geeks, he'll be showing off brand new NES games (blowing in the cartridges optional) and the tools with which they were created. Joe will be giving a presentation with Q+A so you can learn more.

The event itself is FREE! Beverages are for sale at the Guild PVD Beer Garden, and food is available for purchase from nearby establishments such as Dune Bros, Plant City, and if possible, an on-site food truck.

It’s totally casual. Wear whatever, bring whomever, arrive, and take off whenever! And don’t worry about eating or not – come famished or full – eating is optional, and frankly, the least of the festivities.
