Wednesday Games at Meeting Street Café in Providence RI

Update (for event scheduled 8/20/25)! We are scheduling this week’s event at the Meeting Street Café in Providence. Please note that there is some uncertainty about whether the café will indeed be able to support our presence, since they have just reopened after being closed for several months. In the event that we have to relocate the event, our plan is to move to the nearby Shake Shack, which is @ two blocks away on Thayer Street.

All are welcome, and any skill level is encouraged to join and learn new games. The group has no “game library” – the host brings several strategy games of varying complexity and length. Attendees are encouraged to bring games they would be willing to teach. If you have a game you own and want to play, please bring it!

Please RSVP (required)! While we don't set a cap, an accurate headcount makes it much easier to save tables and to choose which games to bring. Also, if you have signed up for an event an subsequently find that you are unable to make it, please change your status to "Not Going" and/or post a message to the event page, so we'll know you won't be there and can plan accordingly.

If this is your first time joining us, we strongly encourage you to arrive on time so we can help you find a game table you'll enjoy. Late arrivals usually end up waiting for a game to end, which can take a bit of time.
