Saturday Games at Meeting Street Café in Providence RI

We are scheduling this week’s Saturday event at the Meeting Street Café in Providence. The café has indeed reopened after being closed for several months, but they are still training new staff. In the event that we have to relocate the event (unlikely, but possible), our plan is to move to the nearby Shake Shack, which is @ two blocks away on Thayer Street.

All are welcome, and any skill level is encouraged to join and learn new games. The host and other members typically bring several strategy games of varying complexity and length. Attendees are encouraged to bring games they would be willing to teach. If you have a game you own and want to play, please bring it!

The listed end time for Saturdays is an estimate. Note that longer games may be more feasible on Saturdays that they would be on a weeknight session. If you need to leave by a specific time, kindly let other players know before starting a game.

Please RSVP! An accurate headcount makes easier to plan and to curate games to bring. Also, if you have signed up for an event an subsequently find that you are unable to make it, please change your status to "Not Going" and/or post a message to the event page, so we'll know you won't be there and can plan accordingly.

If this is your first time joining us, we strongly encourage you to arrive on time so we can help you find a game table you'll enjoy. Late arrivals usually end up waiting for a game to end, which can take a bit of time.
