This week, James Mart will be talking about Smart Authorization, or "Smart Auth," which is a feature of the Psibase infrastructure that allows accounts to use entirely custom, dynamic, and upgradeable services to manage authorizing actions.

In previous generation decentralized application technologies, account authorization (and especially cryptographic signature verification) was built into the native infrastructure. In Psibase, it's just another wasm service that can be customized to better meet developer needs.
