PuPPy founder Dusty Phillips invited Brett Cannon longtime core contributor to Python. Brett will join us for a Q&A.
Alice Zheng Director of Data Science at Dato and organizer of Seattle D/A/ML and ChiPy founder Brian Ray are coordinating a talk on machine learning. Alice will speak on machine learning topics, and Brian will apply the topics with examples in Python.

Alice Zheng at Dato is developing a fast and scalable machine learning platform for Big Data analytics. Prior to Dato/GraphLab, she was a researcher in the Machine Learning Group at Microsoft Research, Redmond. Before joining Microsoft, she was a postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University's Auton Lab and the Parallel Data Lab. Alice received her B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from U. C. Berkeley.

Brian Ray is the founder and primary organizer of ChiPy, the Chicago Python User Group. He is also the senior technology lead of Enterprise Science for Deloitte Consulting LLP and is heading the group’s mission of solving complex analytical problems for major businesses worldwide though the power of data science.
