Join us for an exciting talk night at Rover in Downtown Seattle!

What we'll do:
This event will feature the following presentations:

Talk #1: Best Practices for Developing Effective GenAI Systems
Speaker: Miles Erickson
Description: In this talk, we'll explore best practices for developing GenAI systems that go beyond traditional chatbots. From optimizing prompt engineering with Jinja2 templates to automating end-to-end evaluation and testing, we'll dive into the key considerations for building conversational AI that is both effective and efficient. We'll also examine event-driven use cases that unlock new possibilities for GenAI, such as interactive storytelling, dynamic content generation, and more. Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting out in GenAI, this talk will provide actionable insights and inspiration to elevate your GenAI projects.

Lightning talk #1: Exploring Ocean Noise in Python
Speaker: John Boyle
Description: In this talk, I'll walk through examples of ocean noise studies and the tooling behind them, and discuss the ways Python enables analysis of large datasets.

Talk #2: Introduction to GraphRAG
Speaker: Jason Koo
Description: Where are the answers? Learn what Graph Retrieval-Augmented Generation (GraphRAG) is and why it's becoming a popular extension to vanilla RAG systems, framed around the popular children's series, Where's Waldo!

What to bring:
Since this is a talk format meetup, you don't need a computer. Pizza will be provided by Rover.

Building access:
The main entrance facing Olive Way is open to the public until 6pm. The entrance on 8th Ave locks at 3pm so please do not use this entrance.

Once you are in, the 19th floor will be unlocked on the elevators so you will be able to go straight up to Rover.

If you arrive after 6pm, please do the following to get into the building:

1. Join our slack channel (http://slack.pspython.com)
2. Navigate to the #general channel
3. Post in the "Accessing the talk night venue after 6pm" thread that you need to be let in and an organizer will assist you.

Parking:
The parking garage in Rover's building is closed to the public once it reaches 95% capacity. Otherwise, the garage hours are 6am-8pm
