What we'll do:

This event will feature the following presentations:

Talk #1: Exploring Wordle
Speaker: George V. Reilly
Description: A talk about solving Wordle in Python: taking a few guesses and finding the words that match. I'll start out with Unix pipes, then refine my approach several times in Python, fixing subtle problems and showing a few tricks.

Lightning talk: Sequences, Iterators, and Iterables
Speaker: Devon Terrell,
Description: Ever wonder why you can index a list but not the items of a dictionary? Have you ever tried to loop over a reversed list twice only to find the second loop empty? In this whirlwind tour of Python's iteration protocol we'll untangle some of the foundational types in `collections.abc` and cover when you might run into them in the wild.

Talk #2: Sync vs Async in Python: Hard Lessons and a Helpful Linter
Speakers: Rohit Musti
Description: A deep dive into the real-world challenges I've faced navigating Python's sync and async worlds—and how those pain points led us to build a custom linter. This talk will cover tricky async pitfalls, what made them so hard to catch, and how we approached building a tool to enforce safer patterns. You’ll leave with a stronger grasp of Python async quirks and a sense of how you might write a similar linter for your own codebase.
