What we'll do:

This event will feature the following presentations:

Talk #1: Spark Parallelism: Lessons from scaling pipelines
Speaker: Harmeet Singh
Description: In this talk, I’ll share how we scaled ingestion from sequential row-by-row processing to a highly parallelized Spark-based solution—reducing ingestion time from nearly 18 minutes for 100K rows to under 2 minutes for 1M rows using partitioning and threading.

Lightning talk: Tuples, They're Everywhere
Speaker: Jeremiah Paige
Description: Tuples are a foundational data structure of Python. They are used in every Python program, for anything from interpreter state to collection literal displays. But they may be so common that they become difficult to clearly see when reading code. This quick talk will help you master the identification and use of tuples.

Talk #2: Metaclasses in Python
Speaker: Zach Fudge
Description: We'll discuss the role that metaclasses play in Python, what they do under the hood to make classes work, and methods for writing our own custom metaclasses.
