Coming Out of the Psychedelic Closet
Details
***This event is co-listed from the Chicago Psychedelic Community and I will not actually be a host at this event!***
#### Millions of people have had meaningful, healing, or life-changing psychedelic experiences—yet many keep those stories private. Fear of judgment or professional stigma can make it difficult to speak openly about something so personal and profound.
If you’ve ever wondered how to tell your mom, talk with your partner, or share your experience with a close friend without being dismissed or rejected, this event is for you.
Join our panel of speakers as they share their real-life experiences navigating conversations about psychedelics with friends, family, partners, and communities. You’ll hear different perspectives, practical strategies, and honest lessons learned about when to speak up, how to communicate thoughtfully, and how to handle skepticism or discomfort with compassion.
Whether you’re new to psychedelics or have carried these experiences quietly for years, you’ll leave with greater confidence to talk about your journey in a way that feels authentic and grounded.
We believe conversations about psychedelics can reduce stigma, deepen human connection, and help create a more compassionate culture—one that supports healing, education, and future legal access.
This event is free to attend.
