Join us for an evening of stories and science around one of the most intriguing – and intense – plant medicines on the planet.
This talk explores Iboga and Ibogaine in the context of trauma, addiction, and mental health. We will look at flood doses, microdosing, current research (including studies from Stanford and Ohio State), as well as potential benefits and real risks.
In addition to clinical and scientific perspectives, the talk will also address traditional and experiential views of Iboga as a root medicine, including its reported role in personal insight, spiritual inquiry, and intergenerational or lineage-related themes.

About the speakers:
The speakers have many years of experience working with Iboga and other plant-based substances, including so-called poisons, in therapeutic, research, and traditional contexts.
- Noah Lara has over a decade of experience in holistic health, nutrition, and work with Iboga. As part of the Root and Ritual team, he helps translate work with Iboga, Ibogaine, and other plants into innovative, sugar-free functional chocolates, combining traditional plant knowledge with modern nutritional formulation.https://www.instagram.com/rootandritualmexico/
- Tobias Erny began his career in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry in Basel, Switzerland, where he first encountered Ibogaine in 2006. Since then, he has been engaged in research, education, and practice with Ibogaine and the traditional medicine Iboga. He is initiated into the Dissoumba-Fang Bwiti tradition and serves as Co-Director of the Global Iboga Therapy Alliance (GITA), focusing on research, education, and sustainability around Iboga and its alkaloids. https://ibogaalliance.org/who-we-are/
