Portland Psychedelic Society (PPS) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for psychedelic education, integration, advocacy, and meaningful community connection.
Through our recurring community programming, special events, and broader engaging ecosystem, we aim to cultivate thoughtfully grounded and accessible opportunities for learning, reflection, relationship-building, and personal growth. We believe community belonging itself is an essential part of healing and cultural transformation.

PPS primarily uses Meetup for community visibility, outreach, and event discovery.
Official PPS Community Programs and other PPS-produced events require registration through our Event Platform. RSVP’ing on Meetup alone does not reserve a space for ticketed PPS events.
When applicable, please use the registration link provided within each event description to complete your registration and reserve your spot.
Most PPS events operate on a sliding-scale or donation-based model in an effort to keep programming accessible while sustaining the ongoing work of the organization.

PPS Education Program: New Developments in Psychedelic Research

PROGRAM: 6:30 PMOn Thursday, October 29th we are honored to be hosting an evening with Directors from Oregon Psilocybin Services and the Open Psychedelic Evaluation Nexus (OPEN), a community-wide, non commercial research initiative housed at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Angela Allbee, Director of the Medical Cannabis and Psilocybin Section of Oregon Health Authority, along with team members Dr. Em. Trubits and Meredith Rider, will be with us to provide the latest news and information on the Psilocybin Services program. As with our session with them in July, this will provide another opportunity to ask questions and understand options for continuing to make strides in protecting and strengthening the program.
We are also pleased to have Adie Rae Wilson-Poe, PhD, Legacy researcher and co-director at Open Psychedelic Evaluation Nexus (OPEN), who will share insights from a newly-released landmark study highlighting outcomes of Oregon psilocybin therapy participants. NPR describes the study as as "the most rigorous analysis yet of the real world implications of regulated psilocybin".
Appearing in headlines across the country, the study is making a difference for policymakers around the country and world - and is a testament all of the dedicated work that has transformed Oregon’s legal access model from dream to reality. Portland Psychedelic Society's Education Program features guest speakers, presentations, panels, screenings, and community learning opportunities exploring psychedelics, consciousness, healing, science, culture, ethics, and related topics. These evenings are designed to make psychedelic education more accessible, thoughtful, and community-centered while welcoming both newcomers and longtime community members alike.
Programming may range from introductory conversations to deeper explorations of emerging research, lived experience, and diverse perspectives from across the psychedelic ecosystem. Each gathering offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue within a supportive community environment.

Psychedelic Paths to Wholeness is a monthly gathering focused on exploring the intentional use of psychedelics for personal and communal healing, growth, and expansion.
This group provides a supportive space for individuals to share their experiences, ask questions, and explore the transformative potential of psychedelics. Our discussions will also focus on how psychedelics can foster connection, heal inherited and ancestral traumas, and inspire peaceful activism to create positive change in our world.
Whether you are new to psychedelics or have been a long-time explorer, all are welcome.

Join us on November 9th at 7PM at Alberta Rose Theatre for for a lively, thoughtful—and yes, fun—conversation about psychedelics, aging, and the many ways we might reimagine what it means to grow older.
What if getting older could open the door to something new?
Older adults are increasingly becoming part of the psychedelic conversation. So what’s behind that growing curiosity? What might psychedelic experiences have to offer as we navigate life’s later chapters? And could psychedelics change the way we think about aging itself?
We’ve gathered three fascinating voices for the conversation:
Abbie Rosner A baby boomer and writer focused on how older adults are exploring the drugs of our youth in ways that enhance how we age. Her new book, Psychedelics and the Counterculture of Aging (Park Street Press) is the first to document the emerging trend of older adults using psychedelics for individual and collective transformation. Abbie also writes on Substack: The ELDEREVOLUTION Newsletter on Psychedelics in Older Life. Her work has been featured in the MAPS Newsletter, Forbes, Next Avenue, Double Blind and other publications.
Phyllis Moses Dedicated to assisting individuals to discover their own resources for growth and healing.
Steve Rosonke MD Founder of Rainfall Medicine, a ketamine center for consciousness and healing. He has also trained with indigenous healers throughout the globe.

Rainbow Integration Circle

Rainbow Integration Circle is a space for gender and sexually expansive people (2SLGBTQAI+) to come together, heal, share, learn, grow, process and integrate our experiences with psychedelics and entheogens, in community.
This circle has been meeting in one form or another since 2017, and volunteer-hosted by Avery Deane Swift (they/them), a community member steeped in experience both in the realms of psychedelics as well as holding healing spaces. Please reach out directly to Avery Deane with any questions or accessibility needs.
All who join the circle will be asked to hold a container of confidentiality as we collectively create a space for our community to come together, process, learn, and heal. Attendees are also asked to join from the start and be fully present for the meeting, on camera as much as possible, to support connection and community.
We will begin with the intention of supporting each one to integrate past and current experiences, and all are encouraged to join regardless of where you are on your path and exploration of entheogens/psychedelics. Depending on the time remaining the conversation will be open up to questions and collective discussion on topics of interest provided by the group. We sometimes stick around for an extra 15-30 mins at the end for social conversations.
This is not a space to solicit or distribute substances. Please respect the delicate nature of these spaces and help us protect our ability to gather and honor the grounds on which we are allowed to do so.
Please arrive by 6:35pm, late arrivals are not guaranteed entry. We will start with our process of creating a container to support a safer space, and it's best if everyone attending is there to do this with the collective. Message the organizer if you are going to be late.
