Ask a Therapist
Details
Psychedelic experiences can open the door to profound insights, emotions, and shifts in perspective—but preparation and integration are often what determine whether those experiences lead to lasting positive change. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to clarify intentions, navigate challenging experiences, and make meaning of what arises afterward. Join us for this "Ask a Therapist" gathering, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the role of therapy in psychedelic preparation and integration, explore common questions and concerns, and engage in an open conversation with an experienced therapist about the healing potential and practical realities of working with psychedelics.
David Schwartz is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in private practice. His professional background includes work in community mental health, college counseling, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. He is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and, as part of his psychotherapy practice, he works with clients interested in psychedelics and plant medicine, offering support with both preparation and integration, with the goal of fostering insight, healing, and meaningful personal growth. He is joining us for “Ask a Therapist” to share more about his work and to answer group members’ questions about psychedelic medicine.
