"Finding Nemon: The Extraordinary Life of the Outsider Who Sculpted the Famous"
Discussant: Aurelia Young, writer and daughter of Oscar Nemon
Aurelia Young grew up wandering in and out of her father's studio, the great sculptor Oscar Nemon (1906-1985), at the family home in Oxford watching him working on his busts of his famous sitters, including Sigmund Freud, Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II.
Since his death, she has been researching her father's life and has given illustrated talks about him in the United States and Europe. She has made many discoveries about her father's exotic life– encompassing romance and tragedy, helping her find who he really was and how he lived his life outside her range of vision and experience.
