Make your first Virtual Reality (VR) website! In a near future, the way we interact with the digital medium will suffer a massive change. Flat screens are about to become a thing of the past. The internet, movies, games and social networks will all be in VR/AR. The time has come for you to take the first steps and build some VR of your own.
If you are one of these:
• a web or 3D designer
• a web or game developer
• an artist
• a human
Then we have a great tool to show you! A-frame is one of the easiest and fastest ways to create VR content. You can use everything from 3D models, to sounds, to 360º video, and all you need to know is HTML.
In this workshop you will build your first VR scene from the ground up and share it with the world!
You will need the following:
• laptop with Windows, macOs or Linux
• text editor (we'll use Sublime)
• modern browser (Firefox or Chrome)
• node, npm and live-server
• basic knowledge of HTML
• smartphone (optional)
• Google Cardboard or similar (optional)
And most importantly...
• A desire to learn new and COOL things (mandatory!)
A big thanks to Altice and ENTER for providing the space:
