CryptoBay in Beta-i will be hosting their 9th Blockchain/Crypto meeting.

This is a special event dedicated to discussing EOS pre-mainnet launch. EOS is launching June 2nd & many believe it to be the future of business on blockchain. it has been dubbed Ethereum. 10,000 transactions per second as compared to Ethereum's 15 tps sounds good but there are also sceptics with security issues & qualms about on-chain scaling. At the cryptobay, we will delve in further to these issues to help attendees make their own decision on EOS.

Bitcoin has been around for almost a decade now, & Ethereum for multiple years but businesses have failed to use blockchain to a wide scale.

That said, this fist meetup will be mostly focused on generating interest in business and application developers and to cover one of the most unique aspects of the EOS blockchain: its constitutional governance.

Blockchain technology has been around for over a decade now, and although much has been said about it's revolutionary potentials, little has been realized.

Bitcoin, the first blockchain application, promised to be a fast, peer-to-peer electronic cash system. Yet the reality is that it is slow and depends on a few larger miners to process the transaction.

Ethereum, the second generation blockchain platform, promised to do for computing what bitcoin did for finance. But by building on the bitcoin model, it replicated all the problems plus created more due to it's promised to deliver applications on the blockchain.

EOS, too, promises to be the next big innovation, delivering on the promises made by Bitcoin and Ethereum.

But it descents from a very different lineage, with a very different approach and philosophy.

This difference & the efficacy of it will be the topic of discussion in our event.
