With AI Vibecoding-tools like Replit, Lovable, Cursor, etc making it easier than ever to turn ideas into working prototypes, some PMs are rolling up their sleeves and shipping code. Others argue that AI should free us up to do what we've been missing: understand our markets better, think more strategically, and work more entrepreneurially.

So which path is right? (Spoiler: probably both–depending on your context)

Timothy Krechel – Currently mainly limited by App Store Review speed for shipping products
Timothy predicts an ever-shrinking ratio of devs to PMs and how this will inherently change the day-to-day of the PM role as well as the surrounding organization as a whole. When the cost of shipping code approaches 0, product people will eventually become the builders themselves, vastly accelerating feedback loops.
Steffen Oehme – ProductTank FFM Co-Organizer and Strategy nerd
Steffen argues that AI gives PMs a chance to finally step up strategically: better market intelligence, sharper competitive analysis, and more entrepreneurial thinking. He'll show how AI tools can help you understand your market and competition better, derive strategies, and stop being a feature factory.
