SIY forms an integrated public speaking training system with Core Session as the foundation, PSWorkshop as the practice field and SIY Talk as the social networking platform.

Our PSWorkshop provides many practice opportunities for SIY members, students and all English lovers. Through improv games, impromptu speech, speech writing, prepared speech and Ted Talk study, we help them improve English proficiency and accumulate public speaking experience so that they will be able to stand on a bigger stage speaking to a larger number of audience in the future.

Starinyou is proud to present a series of public speaking workshops on the theme of psychology of achievement. This series consists of six coherent but relatively independent topics:

Building a Positive Self-Concept (July 21)

Accepting Responsibility and Taking Charge (July 28)

Programming for Success (August 4)

Goals and Goal Achieving (August 11)

Creative Problem Solving and Decision Making (August 18)

Superior Human Relations (August 25)

These workshops will not only introduce to you some fundamental concepts about and secrets to defining and achieving your own success, but will also urge you to think deeper about the relationship between confidence and public speaking, as well as how to become a more effective communicator. To achieve these goals, we will integrate several important elements into our workshops:

Improv games
Lead-in lecture
Discussion in pair/group
Self-practice and self-reflection
Impromptu speaking

Trainer’s feedback

For the optimal training experience and effects, we strongly suggest that you participate in all of the six workshops. If time doesn’t allow for full participation, you can also drop in on the dates you consider the most convenient to you.
