The Great Debate: Attend in London, Make Your Views Known on Video

Details

The Great Debate is one of the most popular events at the London Book Fair. This year, we’re offering the opportunity for anyone -- including those who can’t attend -- to weigh in with their views on video and maybe even influence the outcome.

The theme of this year’s event is Amazon: Friend or Foe? Debaters include Tim Godfray, chief executive of the UK Booksellers Association; Rob Levine, bestselling author; Jennifer 8. Lee, Publisher of DailyLit/Plympton, and Eoin Purcell, editor of New Island Books and Irish Publishing News. The debate will be moderated by: Michael Healy, Executive Director of the Copyright Clearance Center and introduced by Susan Danziger, Organizer of The Publishing Point and Founder/CEO of Ziggeo.

Admission is free if you have a pass to the London Book Fair.

If you want to make your views known, you can record a short video using the Ziggeo link here: http://ziggeo.com/3ed98835

We will be showing as many of the short videos as possible before the debate begins.

You have 20 seconds to record whether or not you think Amazon is a positive influence on the publishing industry -- and why that is.

Many thanks to our friends at Bowker Identifier Services for sponsoring The Great Debate.
