Philosophy & Picnic in the Park
Details
Its sunny! So this weekend, Café Philo steps out into the open air—bringing philosophy, curiosity, and conversation into the park.
We’ll gather to think and experience ideas together—under a blue sky, on the grass, with space for everyone who feels drawn to join. There’s no limit on numbers this time—so whether you’re a regular or simply curious, you’re warmly welcome.
Bring something to share —food, a drink, a blanket, a sun hat… whatever you’d like to bring along. This is as much a picnic as it is a philosophical exploration.
We’ll begin with a question.
Sometimes timeless: What is a good life?
Sometimes playful: Does my dog love me?
Sometimes unexpected: Is it okay to kill zombies?
The question emerges from the group on the day. So the direction we take… depends entirely on who shows up.
The aim isn’t just (or even) to arrive at answers, but to notice what happens when we think together—how perspectives shift, deepen, and occasionally dissolve. It’s a shared space to explore meaning, in all its variety, where good conversation can continue beyond the question itself.
No expertise needed. Just curiosity.
Philosophy, for its own sake and for the quiet pleasure of seeing things with fresh eyes.
(Keep an eye on the weather just in case - if it turns stormy we will postpone)
