Stoned & Scholarly Book Club - “The Myth of Sisyphus” by Albert Camus

Details
Camus says life is absurd — and given our current state of the world, I bet we all can agree… For this session, we’re rolling up with “The Myth of Sisyphus,” that existential boulder of a book where Camus dares to ask: If life has no meaning, should we still keep pushing?
Let’s get delightfully dazed and dive into the eternal uphill struggle. And after, we can go somewhere close by for lunch.
The cannabis lounge where we meet has supplies, coffee and snacks — so just bring yourself! But please make sure you are at least 21 and bring your physical ID, or you will not be permitted inside.
The PDF version of the book is available for free online (it is only around 120 pages): https://archive.org/details/AlbertCamusTheMythOfSisyphus/mode/1up
If you vibe with existentialist ideas and want to learn more, consider reading “The Stranger” (also by Camus) or other existentialist philosophers like Satre and Kafka.
If you get the chance, I also recommend watching the Richard Linklater animated film “Waking Life.” It also is available for free online: https://archive.org/details/waking.life
If you’re unable to read the book, watching this film can help you understand existentialism and participate in the discussion.
Feel free to post questions or DM me directly. Look forward to seeing all of you!
