October Forest Walk: Fall Colors at Discovery Park

Details

Let's meet at 9 am on Sunday, October 17th, at Discovery Park, a place we have visited often but which is much loved. Masks may be required, and social distancing will be strongly recommended (even for participants who have been vaccinated). My wish is to have this be as safe and fun an experience for everyone!

Guided, walking meditation is a great way to experience on a sensory level the many changes that are taking place during this time, and to de-stress in a completely pressure-free setting. The pace is slow, easy and intended to both open and calm the mind.

As with all of our walks, it is free but donations for snacks are accepted. Please be mindful of your fellow walkers and leave all electronic devices behind for our walk! Bring a water bottle and dress warm. It may still be a bit chilly!

If it rains, the walk will continue unless things get too soaked. I will send updated messages if I feel we should reschedule. Given the ever-changing nature of the global pandemic situation, all event details (including the need to potentially reschedule or cancel the event) will be subject to state and/or other guidelines as they are made available.

I look forward to seeing you all, and here's to another wonderful season of forest walks! Let me know if you have any questions.

MEETUP LOCATION
Please be sure to meet up at the NORTH parking lot (follow signs for Daybreak Star Cultural Center)

Additional note- Dogs are not allowed on the Wolf Tree Nature Trail, where we will spend part of our walk.
