We are a small group of people from different backgrounds interested in reading.
The reading spans fiction as well as non-fiction books, but excludes technical subjects.
The fiction can range from Jeffrey Archer, Anita Desai on to Bernard Shaw and Dostoevsky or even possibly Iris Murdoch; but will not stoop to a Sudha Murthy or Chetan Bhagat. Non-fiction subjects can range from art, economics, travelouges to psychology, but certainly exclude self-help, Indian history, finance (How to get rich). Authors who write for the layman to well informed are taken up. So, Matt Ridley, Bill Bryson, Hemmingway and such like but we will not attempt reading O E Wilson, Chomsky or Murakami. At the other end almost anything in Crosswords top non-fiction recommendations will be given a wide berth.
