Azure Active Directory and its suite of SDKs do a fine job at implementing OAuth and enabling Single-Sign-On (SSO). However, the SDKs abstract away the inner workings of OAuth and reasoning behind it. Here we take the opportunity to deep dive into how OAuth 2.0 works and why is it built the way it is. We will walk through different authorization flows and demos on Azure AD. We will also explore some interesting caveats that can empower developers in design secure and usable authentication flows.
