Small Steps to Collaborative Success: Meet Huriyyah Muhammad!

Collaboration is the life breadth of not only filmmaking but creative and business endeavors. For artists and business individuals, in particular, isolation can be the death claw that stops many projects before they have begun. Huriyyah Muhammad's talk will be on the amazing films and business projects she's seen blossom because leaders took small steps to embed collaboration within the fabric of their work process. Huriyyah will use her experience as a film producer, and the enormous growth within such a small time of the Black TV & Film Collective (http://blacktvfilmcollective.com/), the membership-based organization of 1K+ amazing artists of color she founded, as a through line in the discussion.

Huriyyah is a film producer who has had the pleasure of working with incredibly talented artists both in front of and behind the camera. To date, she's produced over ten films that have been distributed by Lionsgate, Warner Brothers, and Image Entertainment to name a few. *She also loves cake!!
