Details
Note: We will need a name that matches an ID for building security. If you don't use such a name on meetup, please answer the RSVP question asking for a name that matches your ID.
This month we have pleasure of hearing from Daniel Lobato (@eLobatoss), one of the developers working on Foreman.
He will be demonstrating and reviewing the latest release of Foreman (1.9). Foreman is the leading community-developed Puppet ENC and provisioning engine for Puppet, and a core component of RedHat Satellite 6. Foreman can provision Cloud hosts, virtual hosts and bare metal hosts.
Daniel will be demonstrating Foreman, and providing an overview of many of it's features, especially those released in the past year. In addition, Daniel will be showcasing Foreman's modular plugin system, and providing an overview of some of the most useful and interesting plugins, like Docker and Discovery.
If there is time, Daniel will also discuss the Foreman development roadmap.
After the meeting we will be adjourning to a nearby watering hole to continue the discussion.
