"Are you ready to leave perfection at the door and tell your story? Join Book + Bottle for a Storytelling Amateur Hour in collaboration with Purpose-Driven Professionals!

This event is free and open to the public and your first beverage is FREE courtesy of SPOCS Orthodontics!*

You might have been to the shop for one of our poetry open mics before, but this is a little different. We want to create a space where people can show up as they are and tell their stories in a low-pressure environment. Amateur Hour is an open mic-style event where your words don't have to be polished, perfected, or rehearsed. Poetry and short stories are welcome. Or you can read a favorite children's story or a short story by a favorite author. This is an opportunity to practice public speaking in a safe space.

Amateur Hour will take place on the first Wednesday of every month. Our first one is Wednesday, June 3rd from 6pm-8pm.

Readers will have 5 minutes at the mic. The sign-up sheet will go live at 6pm and people will start telling their stories promptly at 6:30pm. Spots are limited for reading and spectators are welcome!
