Candle lit Bluesy Jazz Featuring Jessie Gordon, Lucky Oceans ($40)

The Pick of the local music scene, with Lucky Oceans on pedal steel and vocals, Bill Lawrie on acoustic guitar, vocals and harmonica, and Jessie Gordon on ukulele and vocals, the band is a roller coaster of harmony, switching between uptempo country and slow blues with everything in between.
The trio exudes the spirit of the Barrelhouse: a rowdy blues bar where anything can happen. Raucous drinking songs sit alongside the group’s original creations with Jessie’s gospel-tinged grooves, Bill’s impressionistic gems and Lucky’s epic song, ‘The Bell’ which as sung by Jessie, was ‘The Moment’ of Fairbridge Festival 2021.

They will be performing an intimate concert in the beautiful Moana Hall, the room itself is a reason to visit with an Art Deco bar, original features and stunning ambience.

I'll try and grab dinner at Taka which is very close by at around 6pm (depending on when I get out of work) and head over to venue around 6:40.
