A new virtual support group page

Hi all, this is not an event as such, rather a new little community forming. I am the person who originally set up this group. And after the rain last night, I discovered that I seem to have some "rain anxiety" following the cyclones and previous floods. Our neighbourhood was flooded again last night, and our civil defence emergency tones were going off every hour or 2.

It feels very isolating when we are told to stay at home as the roads and neighbourhood flood. We have gone through this approximately every 2 weeks now, and it seems to be the new norm. Round 3 and I'm now finding it quite trigged.

So I've felt called to open a facebook group to connect anyone feeling emotionally challenged, or conversely, anyone resilient and willing to support others who are emotionally challenged. A little community.

It's brand new as of this morning (25/02/23), so will be nice and intimate and a chance to meet new people and connect to each other. A place where you can feel safe sharing your emotions and hopefully learning there are others out there also going through those feelings, or at the very least willing to be there with you virtually... so that you feel supported and not alone.
