What we’re about
There are already several groups on here focused on Expats making friends with other Expats and building a community together. We'd like to instead make a group for all newcomers to Lisbon focused on figuring out our new lives, neighborhoods, and neighbors. We'll discuss what has worked, what definitely didn't work, and the things that leave us confounded on a near daily basis even years after getting here. This will be our first meeting, so we will work out a structure and how often we meet depending on people's availability.

Este grupo é para qualquer recém-chegado a Lisboa quem quer fazer mais parte da sua nova cidade. Estamos aqui a ajudar-nos aprender mutuamente a navegar as diferenças entre esta cidade e a de onde viemos. Também teremos todo o gosto em ter alfacinhas interessados em conhecer pessoas no grupo, especialmente a considerar que sabe tudo que nos esforçamos tanto para descobrir.
Enquanto muitos neste grupo ainda só aspiram a falar português, é importante sublinhar que somos grupo bilingue. Todos os lusófonos são bem-vindos, sem precisar ter confiança conversar em inglês. Temos falantes nativos e falantes não nativos que se sentem mais confiantes a falar português do que inglês.
