USDA Rural Development 502/504: Land, Homeownership & Renovation Workshop
An educational and technical assistance workshop designed to help individuals and families access USDA Section 502 programs for purchasing land (when eligible), building, or purchasing a home, and Section 504 programs for essential home repairs and rehabilitation. The workshop will also connect local contractors, builders, and small business owners in the home improvement industry with opportunities to expand their businesses, understand program requirements, access eligible projects, and develop the capacity to serve rural homeowners.
Two key objectives:

1. Homeowners and aspiring homeowners: Understand financing options for homeownership, construction, and essential home repairs.
2. Small business owners and contractors: Learn how to position their businesses to participate in the rural housing renovation market, secure projects, build capacity, and scale operations.

Note: USDA Section 502 generally finances eligible homes and residential sites rather than standalone vacant-land purchases. Section 504 supports eligible home repairs, not general commercial renovation.
