PVC Monthly Membership Meeting and Holiday Party - Newcomers join at 7pm

Our December meeting will also be a Holiday party with a potluck and a gift exchange. New members are always welcome. No need to bring anything, just come and enjoy the party.

Are you interested in volunteering but don't know where to start? Professional Volunteer Corps may be for you. PVC organizes diverse volunteer opportunities for its members. At our monthly meeting you can sign up for any volunteer event which you would like.
So far this Fall we:

• Assembled emergency meals with Kids Coalition Against Hunger. We were part of a crew which assembled over 57,000 meals for disaster relief, such as the hurricane in Jamaica, and for food assistance right here in our local communities.
• Helping the American Cancer Society's fundraising walk: Making Strides.
• Later in November we will be going back to Food Gatherers to sort food, ensuring families get enough to eat during the Holidays.

Upcoming December volunteer projects include:

• Removing invasive species from a local park.
• Ushering at Purple Rose Theater.
• Ushering for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's "Holiday Pops" concert.

In addition to volunteering, we are a social group. Many of our members meet monthly at different local restaurants to enjoy a meal. Many also meet weekly for a brisk walk to stay fit.
Come to the next meeting of Professional Volunteer Corps and you can sign up as a volunteer at one of our upcoming projects. Interested guests may attend a short information session at 7:00 p.m. and the general meeting will start at 7:30 p.m.
The only way to get involved in a project is to come to a meeting. Some PVC members prefer just the social events, others choose only volunteer events.
