PVC Monthly Membership Meeting - Newcomers join at 7pm

Are you interested in volunteering but don't know where to start? Professional Volunteer Corps may be for you. PVC organizes diverse volunteer opportunities for its members. At our monthly meeting you can sign up for any volunteer event which you would like.

In May we:

  • Volunteered with USPS and Food Gatherers as they help "Stamp Out" hunger.
  • Sorted the donated food at Food Gatherer's warehouse.
  • Volunteered as course marshalls and assistants to the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run.

This Summer we plan to be:

  • Volunteering with the African American Cultural History Museum of Washtenaw County.
  • Helping out the Legacy Land Conservancy.
  • Attending Michigan Celtic Fest where we will volunteer in various capacities.

In addition to volunteering, we are a social group. Many of our members meet monthly at different local restaurants to enjoy a meal. Many also meet weekly for a brisk walk to stay fit.

Come to the next meeting of Professional Volunteer Corps and you can sign up as a volunteer at one of our upcoming projects. Interested guests may attend a short information session at 7:00 p.m. and the general meeting will start at 7:30 p.m.

June's membership meeting will feature a guest speaker from the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

The only way to get involved in a project is to come to a meeting. Some PVC members prefer just the social events, others choose only volunteer events. We welcome newcomers and there is no commitment. If you would like additional information, email us at pvc_a2@email.com, send us a message on Meetup or check our website at a2pvc.org. We look forward to meeting you!

Note: this sign-up is for newcomers (you!) - we expect an additional 10-12 PVC members that don't sign up here, so rest assured there will be several other attendees in addition to any sign-ups here.
