API-first is key for building B2B platforms, as the API is the primary integration point. This talk covers building a client SDK to streamline integrations, eliminating boilerplate, reducing friction, and improving platform understanding. It also enhances observability and guides architectural patterns. Using Speakeasy, we automate SDK generation and documentation. I'll also discuss testing and why an SDK-first approach is the natural evolution of API-first thinking.
