PyBerlin 47 - 🍓🍓 June event 🍓🍓

Details
Agenda:
• 18:00 - Opening doors of the venue
• 18:30 - Welcome to PyBerlin! // Organisers
• 18:40 - Welcome from the host - Deutsche Bank Berlin Technology Centre
• 18:50 - Pickle: everybody hates it, everybody uses it // Ben Clifford
`pickle` is the built-in Python library for serializing and deserializing objects. "Don't use pickle" is many people's instant reaction. Then they
go back to their terminal and use pickle. I'll dig into the guts of the
pickle protocol to try to understand this contradiction: what makes it
uniquely useful compared to other data formats? but how does that bring
in behaviour that upsets people?
Speaker's Bio:
Ben spends a lot of time moving Python objects around. He's a big fan of programming languages and as well as Python has worked professionally in languages as diverse as Haskell, FORTRAN, and PHP. For fun, he likes bike riding and LEDs (and has a bunch of LEDs strapped into his bike wheel...)
• 19:20 - Short break
• 19:50 - API Quality Framework // Pallavi Debnath
In this talk I will show how in Deutsche Bank we are working to enhance the quality and governance of both internal and external APIs, ensuring maximum discoverability and reusability through rigorous API quality controls and scoring mechanisms using Python.
Speaker’s bio:
Pallavi is a Lead Engineer at Deutsche Bank, focusing on API Banking and AI Projects. With a background as Full Stack Engineer, she has experience in Insurance, Banking and Renewable Energy domains with contribution in areas of architecture, product designing and core development.
• 20:20 - GenAI Solution Design Best Practices // Mirza Rahim Baig
Are you using LLMs where a simple string match would work? Or are you using 4x the tokens you actually need. Identify all the decisions we need to make in designing a solution and learn how to make those decisions. Get some pro-tips in designing LLM based solutions. We start with a poorly created solution and the audience interactively and successively improves the solution.
Speaker's bio:
Rahim is a seasoned data science expert, solving complex business problems using AI/ ML since 2009. Rahim is an author, speaker and educator. He is a visiting faculty at NMIMS for MBA programs and a subject matter with leading Ed-tech platforms. He has authored three well received books - "Optimising AI/ML Solutions", “The Deep Learning Workshop” and “Data Science for Marketing Analytics Workshop”. He is also a mentor for an AI accelerator.
• 20:50 - Closing session // Organisers
This event will be only in-person. Please check our Code of Conduct and official health regulation in Berlin before coming. If you feel some signs of sickness, please consider skipping this event and attending another time. We will have plenty of events in different formats in the future.
