PyData Lagos Community Project Meeting

Good morning, everyone. We hope your year is off to a great start.

There is a lot to discuss regarding the Open Source Safety Project, so please join us for a meeting this Sunday, January 11th, 2026.

For our newcomers and as a refresher for the rest of the community, this project is about providing safety to individuals in Lagos State and potentially all of Nigeria. We are responding to the growing trend of kidnappings, robberies, and one-chance incidents.

We have one goal: to implement a solution that provides data to improve transit with safety at the forefront.
