Fast Computational Biology: Leveraging Python with Rust and C++ Backends
by Thomas Vetterli
Python is a good tool for interactive data analysis - but sometimes lacks in performance for complex algorithms needed in computational biology. In this talk we will walk through the benefits of combining a Rust / C++ backend to run analyses with a high compute need and how to use it seemlessly form python using pybind11 or PyO3.
