Humanitarian AI and PyData meetup groups are organizing a joint discussion on open data sharing frameworks used by humanitarian organizations and ways of making granular information on humanitarian aid activities ready for use by emerging AI applications.

I this virtual presentation we'll introduce
IATI: an open data sharing framework and XML Standard widely used by humanitarian organizations to make information on aid activities accessible to machine applications. IATI Plus is an all-volunteer project launched by the Humanitarian AI meetup community studying how IATI data can be made accessible to commercial grade AI applications operating at scale.
PyData meetup group members will offer input on the project and help iterate through ways of preparing IATI data for graphing and use by AI applications.

the second half of the two hour virtual event will be reserved for live coding and data processing demos.
Staff from humanitarian organizations, humanitarian AI initiatives and private sector companies will join the conversation.
