1st talk -- Abstract :
PVGIS 6 is an open‑source Python engine for photovoltaics. It is a prototype that serves as the foundation for future development, which will ultimately power the next generation of the European Commission's PVGIS (version 5.x) web application. PVGIS 6 is a pure‑Python library, a command line too and an Web-API that implements the scientific algorithms behind PVGIS (solar‑positioning, irradiance modelling, photovoltaic performance). It is released under the EU Public Licence v1.2 and built on or/and inspired by a stack of well‑known open‑source libraries such as : NumPy, Xarray, SciPy, Zarr, NetCDF4, FastAPI, Typer, Pydantic and a lot more.
