Main Talks:

Pavlos Mitsoulis-Ntompos & Stefano Bonetti on "Software engineering practices applied to ML":

Stefano and Pavlos are engineers at HomeAway, and they'll talk about the benefits of applying good engineering practices when building ML-powered systems. The agenda will include:
- Monitoring of your ML pipeline: are you sure your ML model works in production?
- Feature engineering: does it have the same behaviour in training and prediction phases?
- CI/CD: are you checking for performance regressions in an automated fashion?

Péter Kovács on "Overview of neural network architectures in image processing":

Image processing has seen an enormous progress thanks to deep learning. Starting from a basic image classification example, we will explore neural network architectures used in face recognition systems, self-driving cars and medical image processing.

Ian Ozsvald on "pandas_profiling":

Kickstart your exploratory data analysis with pandas_profiling

Marc Garcia and Cheuk Ting Ho on #PandasSprint:

The past 10th of March, around 500 people in 30 different cities all around the world, participated in the #PandasSprint. The sprint was an effort to improve pandas documentation.
In this talk, we will see what happened during the sprint, and also before and after. Why it was very important to have a sprint of these dimensions, and what else is happening in the open source side of PyData.

Doors open at 6.30 (get there early as you have to sign-in via AHL's security), talks start at 7 pm, drinks from 9 pm in the bar. We normally have >200 folks in the room so there's plenty of people to discuss data science questions with!
