📓 Taller: De notebook a modelo en producción

Nos vemos de nuevo en julio para seguir hablando de Python, Datos, Visualización, Inteligencia Artificial, ¡y lo que surja!

Para despedirnos antes de las vacaciones de verano, vamos a juntarnos con un plan un poco diferente: Juan Luis Cano, nuestro anfitrión habitual, impartirá un taller práctico "De notebook a modelo en producción" (19:15-20:30) en el que aprenderás cómo pasar de un modelo de aprendizaje automático contenido en un notebook de Jupyter a una aplicación web en producción. Utilizaremos tecnologías como pandas, scikit-learn, flit, y FastAPI, y mencionaremos Voilà y Streamlit como alternativas.

El evento se hará en IronHack (Matadero Madrid, paseo de la Chopera 14).

Puesto que será un taller práctico, ¡puedes traer tu portátil y seguirlo! Necesitarás:

• Conocimientos básicos de Python y línea de comandos en Linux
• Una cuenta en GitHub
• Una cuenta en Gitpod vinculada a tu GitHub
• Una cuenta en Railway (enlace afiliado)

Después de la reunión, buscaremos un bar por la zona para tomar un refrigerio y hacer un poco de networking.

Recomendaciones generales:

• ¿Sabes mucho de Python y Datos? ¿Sabes poco y quieres saber más? ¡En ambos casos, te damos la bienvenida!
• Aplica "la regla del comecocos": si estás en un círculo, deja siempre un hueco para que otra persona se pueda unir.
• Puede haber asistentes que no hablen bien español y que se manejen mejor en inglés. Sé paciente y ¡no dejes que se aburran!

To say goodbye before the summer vacations, we will gather for a slightly different plan: Juan Luis Cano, our regular host, will deliver a hands-on workshop "De notebook a modelo en producción" in Spanish (19:15-20:30) that will teach you how to go from a machine learning model described in a Jupyter notebook to a web application in production. We will use technologies like pandas, scikit-learn, flit, and FastAPI, and we will mention Voilà and Streamlit as alternatives.

The event will take place in IronHack (Matadero Madrid, paseo de la Chopera 14).

Since it will be a hands-on workshop, you can bring your laptop and follow it! You will need:

• Basic knowledge of Python and Linux command line
• A GitHub account
• A Gitpod account linked to your GitHub one
• A Railway account (affiliate link)

After the meeting, we will look for a nearby bar to have a bite and do a bit of networking.

General recommendations:

• Are you an expert in Python and Data? Are you a beginner and you want to learn more? In both cases, you are very welcome!
• Apply the "Pacman rule": if you're in a circle, leave a gap so that someone else can join.
• If you don't speak good Spanish, we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. But be mindful that other attendees might want to use their native language in larger conversations. Use this opportunity to practice your Spanish! If you are bored, feel free approach the organizers and say «Hi!»
