In Dimitrios' talk, he will explore the innovative AI solutions used in the industry and their impact on businesses and consumers alike. He will cover how AI is being implemented to optimize traditional customer service domains to the more dynamic field of financial crime detection to chatbots using Generative AI. Here, he will also touch upon the challenges and ethical considerations and the guard rails required when using such technologies.

Multi-Model Optimisation in Payment Processing

Abstract: Making an online payment using your credit card can be done in a blink of an eye. However, a lot is happening in the background to make sure this process goes as frictionless as possible. Transactions are optimized by multiple machine learning models running in production. Through multi-model optimisation, we are optimizing on the full funnel of a transaction instead of each model individually. In this talk, Belle will dive into the challenges we’ve faced at Adyen while immersing ourselves in the world of multi-model optimisation and highlight some of our achievements.
