Join us for an evening of Python/Data Science related talks and discussion

This is a very informal event where we will one or two interesting presentations (see details below) with plenty of room for questions. All skill levels are welcome and actively encouraged!

Afterwards we'll take a trip to the local pub for anyone that wants to come along.

Ruben Galvao (Artlist) - A Deep Seek into LLM Architecture

Large language models can feel like magic, but under the hood they are a handful of simple ideas stacked very high. This talk shows how they are built from the ground up, starting with a single neuron and working towards the architecture of a modern LLM, one visual step at a time. Along the way we'll see how a network learns, and how we build ever larger models. The journey culminates in some of the latest advancements from models like DeepSeek. You'll leave with a clear mental picture of what is actually going on inside a language model, and why each new idea exists.
