2 Virtual PyData Piraeus meetup: Kaggle tips& making any company an AI company!

Hello everyone,

Following the success of our first meetup, we are proceeding with a second one!

We are excited to announce that Marios Michailidis and Greg Fousas of H2O.ai will be speaking to Data Scientists in Greece for the first time, 23rd June at 7PM!
Greg will be covering the topic of how companies can apply AI to solve real world business problems while Marios will share tips on competitive data science and Kaggle competitions with us. Thank you guys, we are looking forward to welcoming you!

19.00- 20.30 Make any company an AI company! Greg Fousas, Customer Data Scientist at H2O.ai, Marios Michailidis, Competitive Data Scientist at H2O.ai

Abstract:
AI and Machine Learning have become must-haves for almost all industries and companies. H2O.ai's goal is to help companies all over the world to use Machine Learning.
H2O.ai's opensource toolset, which includes packages R, Python and Spark, starts from offering products which can accelerate the data preparation, then help with ML model building and finally make the deployment easier and platform agnostic!

Bios:
Greg is a data scientist with work experience that spans more than 20 projects, 15 brands, 5 industries and 5 countries and still counting! He studied Production Engineering and Management, he has a MSc in Operational Research from the University of Edinburgh and studied a bit of Cognitive Science. Recently he completed a self-driving car nanodegree. Greg also runs an amateur online Python course entitled “your 10 minutes of Python per day”, he is a huge cinema and basketball fan.

Marios Michailidis is a competitive data scientist at H2O.ai and a Kaggle Grandmaster (ex World #1 out of 500,000 members) .He holds a Bsc in accounting Finance from the University of Macedonia in Greece and an Msc in Risk Management from the University of Southampton. He has obtained his PhD in machine learning at University College London (UCL) with a focus on ensemble modelling. He has worked in both marketing and credit sectors in the UK Market and has led many analytics’ projects with various themes including: Acquisition, Retention, Recommenders, Uplift, fraud detection, portfolio optimisation and more. He is the creator of KazAnova, a project made in Java for quick credit scoring as well as is the creator of StackNet Meta-Modelling Framework.
