Този път, с цел още повече приятни разговори, networking и позитивни емоции, срещата ще е съвместна с "Networking, having a chat over beer" на нашите приятели от Data Science Society! Въпреки, че фокусът е върху networking, имаме и страхотен лектор със сериозен опит както в индустрията, така и в образованието, а темата е фундаментална и би била полезна на всеки, който иска сериозно да се занимава с data science.

Събитието ще се проведе в CampusX Event Center (ул. "Кръстю Раковски" 30), с подкрепата на Childish.ai, а лекцията ще бъде представена от д-р Георги Налбантов.

Започваме да се събираме в 18:30, ориентировъчен начален час на лекцията: 19:00.

Welcome to the March edition of Pydata Sofia - again live! This time, for even more fun, chats and networking, the event will be held together with "Networking, having a chat over beer", organized by our friends the Data Science Society! Although our focus on networking, we have a great speaker with experience in both industry and high education, and the topic of the talk is fundamental for data science.

This meetup will be at CampusX Event Center (3 Krustio Rakovski Str.) and is supported by Childish.ai. The speaker is Georgi Nalbantov, PhD.

Bias-variance trade-off in statistical learning

Bias Variance Trade-off is a design consideration when training the machine learning model. Certain algorithms inherently have a high bias and low variance and vice-versa.
In his talk, Georgi Nalbantov will debunk one of the most important and tricky issues in machine learning, the concept of bias-variance trade-off.
