In this talk, Larissa Haas shares insights from her work as Data Lead on the International Roundnet rule committee, demonstrating how Python-powered data analysis helps shape the sport’s future. From analyzing gameplay patterns to simulating rule changes, discover how data-driven decisions can create fairer, more engaging matches and expand Roundnet’s reach.
About Larissa
Larissa is Squad Lead for Automation & Analytics, where she coordinates Process Automation projects and develops solutions for intelligent enterprises. In her projects, she takes on the role of Senior Data Scientist and Cloud Solution Architect, integrating various BTP services with Artificial Intelligence.
At the sovanta Innovation Factory, she drives innovation and automation using both traditional AI and cutting-edge Generative AI services to streamline business processes on BTP—making SAP easier than ever before.
She’s always open to conversations about Artificial Intelligence, science fiction, rogue bots with world domination plans, or the art of Python.

As an independent consultant, he's specialized in AI & data strategy and implementation. A frequent speaker and chair at international conferences like PyCon DE, PyData Berlin, and EuroPython, he is also a Python Software Foundation Fellow and EuroPython Fellow. He serves on the board of the Python Software Verband and, since 2024, has also been leading Pioneers Hub, a non-profit dedicated to supporting tech communities.
