Why Join Us?
Our series is limited to 25-30 carefully selected participants per event to ensure intimate, high-impact sessions that prioritize deep engagement, meaningful networking, and personalized mentorship. By joining, you’ll connect with a vibrant community of innovators, gain access to industry-leading experts, and explore cutting-edge open source tools and AI-driven strategies to accelerate your startup journey.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and successful candidates will be notified via email. Once selected, you’ll have the opportunity to join all subsequent events in the series, fostering continuity and building lasting relationships within a supportive alumni network.

Program Overview
The PyData Startup Time: Open Source Round Table spans six bimonthly events over 12 months, plus two exclusive special events, each designed to address critical stages of startup development. Every session integrates open source tools and AI, featuring real-world case studies from data-driven ventures to inspire and inform.

  1. Idea Validation & MVP Development (October 14, 2025)
    Learn to validate your startup ideas and build minimum viable products (MVPs) using AI-driven prototyping and open source tools.
  2. Funding & Pitching to Investors (November 25, 2025)
    Master the art of crafting compelling pitches and securing investment from venture capitalists specializing in AI and tech.
  3. Scaling & Operations (January 27, 2026)
    Discover how to scale your startup efficiently using open source infrastructures and data-driven operational strategies.
  4. Marketing & Customer Acquisition (March 2026)

Special Events

  • Pitch Competition (Events 3 & 6)
    Held every six months, this exciting competition invites five selected participants to pitch their ideas to a panel of industry experts for a chance to win exclusive mentorship sessions and other valuable prizes.
  • Startup Open Source Demo Day (Post-Events 3 & 6)
    Showcase your project to investors, industry leaders, and the broader community, gaining real-world exposure and potential partnerships.

Why It Matters
Our events are intentionally intimate, capped at 25-30 participants, to foster deep connections and meaningful dialogue. Selected attendees can opt to attend all future events, allowing our cohort to grow organically (from 50 to potentially 100 participants by the series’ end) while maintaining a close-knit community. This structure builds trust, encourages collaboration, and creates a dynamic alumni network to support your entrepreneurial journey long after the series concludes.
