Title: Using Bayesian Regression to Link Biochemical and Cellular Efficacy of the Coronavirus Main Protease

Details: The AI-driven Structure-enabled Antiviral Platform (ASAP) consortium is designing drugs against viruses that could cause the next pandemic. We are constantly testing and optimizing our designs. Testing designs with biochemistry experiments is much cheaper and safer than performing experiments with live viruses. However biochemical experiments with a coronavirus were giving us confusing results. My research group developed a new model to explain the results. We used Bayesian regression in pymc4 to fit the model to hundreds of biochemistry experiments and to predict the efficacy of the compounds in cells. The predictions were better correlated with cellular data than simple alternative approaches.
