# Talk: Evaluating Machine Learning Models, by András Beke

Model evaluation is a very important part of the model development process. Based on the evaluation results we can choose the best model and make a hint on how our model will work in the future. In this talk, I will present first the general solution of model evaluation such as evaluation metrics for classification and regression, evaluation on the limited and imbalanced datasets. In the second part of my talk, I will show you some practical tricks for model evaluation through business use-cases. Through these examples, I will focus more on uncertainty measurement using different solutions like the learning curves and Monte Carlo dropout.

András Beke is an AI Researcher at Ultimate.ai, a Helsinki/Berlin-based startup bringing multilingual customer service automation to businesses. He has experiments from different ML areas such as AI analytics technology, healthcare, speech technology.
