Beyond the model: product, governance, regulation and cost
AI is becoming part of how organisations build products, make decisions and deliver services. But how do we know whether it’s working as intended - and what should we actually be checking?
Join Women in AI Ireland and PyData Ireland for The AI Audit Spectrum, a panel discussion and interactive breakout session exploring AI through four connected lenses: product and engineering, governance and policies, legal and regulatory considerations, and finance. Powered by Squarespace.
This is a conversation about the bigger picture: not just what an AI system can do, but how it is built, managed, evaluated and paid for.
What we’ll explore
- Product & Engineering: What does “good” look like for an AI-powered product? Explore questions around performance, reliability, testing and ongoing monitoring.
- Governance & Policies: Who owns the decisions - and the risks? Discuss accountability, internal policies and how to turn principles into everyday practice.
- Legal & Regulatory: What questions should teams be asking about data, transparency and their responsibilities when developing or deploying AI?
- Finance & AI Budgeting: What does AI really cost? Consider how to budget for experimentation, deployment and ongoing operation - and how to assess whether the investment is delivering value.
More than a panel
Bring your questions, experience and curiosity. Alongside the panel discussion, interactive breakout conversations will give you space to exchange perspectives, explore practical challenges and consider what an AI audit could look like in your own organisation.
Whether you’re building AI systems, shaping policy, managing budgets or simply trying to make sense of responsible AI adoption, you’re welcome. You don’t need to be an AI auditing expert to contribute.
Who should join?
Engineers, data scientists, product managers, founders, governance and risk professionals, legal and compliance teams, finance professionals - and anyone interested in the decisions behind AI.
